The RELAB Laboratory, which was accredited by Accredia in accordance with regulation EN ISO IEC 17025, provides the ability to test the performance of equipment for heating and cooling of environments and for the production of domestic hot water for residential, commercial and industrial use.
The aim is to offer a wide range of testing services to assess the performance and labelling of products in accordance with the most recent European standards (such as EN 14511, EN14825, EN16147, EN1397 and EN12309) and regulations (ECO design, ECO Label, the ErP Directive).
ReLAB’s facilities enable assessment and certification of the output performance of heat pumps, air conditioners and liquid coolers with electric compressor, heat pumps for domestic hot water and absorption heat pumps fired both thermally and by direct flame. It can test fan coil and static air recuperators.
Relab is one of the few independent, third party Italian laboratories accredited in accordance with quality regulation for laboratory activities (EN 17025). It enables businesses to reduce the costs of qualified personnel and investment in facilities to carry out tests. It makes the Politecnico di Milano’s experience in the scientific field available to support experimentation and research into innovative and highly efficient solutions.
