Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a methodology defined by international standards in order to measure life cycle environmental performance of products (goods and services), i.e. from raw material extraction to the packaging end of life.
The Relab group’s expertise in renewables and energy saving has been extended to LCA methodology with the mission to carry out research and support companies and public entities in improving their environmental sustainability.
The interdisciplinary team, composed by experienced engineers and agronomists in environmental and energy impact analysis, allows to operate in different production chains with a highly scientific and holistic approach in order to reduce the environmental impact of products or organizations. Our researchers have expertise in developing dedicated tools/software to calculate and reduce the environment footprint, especially in the agro-food industry sector and providing training activities. We participate in national and international research projects.
